Picnic and Play Area

Adventuring and enjoying yourself in the fresh air is hungry work! Make the most of the wide-open space at Studfold picnic and play area while your adults relax and enjoy the Yorkshire Dales views, taking a break.

There’s no need to carry your picnic around with you. Simply drop it off at Reception when you arrive and we’ll deliver it to you at the picnic and play area on the Adventure Trail when you’re ready, free of charge! Or you can even order a delicious picnic on arrival from the wonderful Nidderdale Way Cafe onsite, and they’ll deliver it to you in a pretty basket. We’ve thought of everything at Studfold!

At the picnic and play area you can chillout while the children play. They can get busy on the adventure course, practise their ride-on-tractor driving skills or play in the sandpits. Our historical, interactive barn is also here, where you can listen to the old farmer talk about what it was like to work the land in the old days.

There’s shelter in the barn for when the weather plays up. We also have excellent baby change facilities at Studfold, as well as great eco loos.

Our lovely Nidderdale Way Cafe can provide you with many scrumptious homemade cakes and snacks to enjoy, all very reasonably priced.

Please note that at our picnic area, you are very welcome to bring all your own food, but BBQs are not permitted.

Touring park visitors: Please note that this play park is only available with trail entry on the day of booking. The Adventure Trail is open from 10am to 5pm. To book, please click on the Book Trail button at the top of this page or enquire at reception.
